Forty eight years ago when the 20-year-old Dubliner set off on his solo career he could never have envisaged the road of life that lay ahead. Two years later a Geordie song called “Cushy Butterfield” sailed to No 1 in the Irish charts and the rest is history.

Ol’ Blue-Eyes Frank Sinatra knew talent when he saw it. To be feted by your peers is the finest compliment that can be paid to anyone in the public eye. To be applauded by one of the greatest entertainers in the business, then to be hired and given a contract to appear in a top-spot in London with the man himself was a dream come true. Yet this is precisely what happened to Brendan Grace. Added to his humour Brendan had a voice that could have charmed the birds from the trees and Brendan could easily have made a career from song if comedy had not been his first choice. Within this collection of “Airs & Graces” you’ll find some gems (depending on your age) !!! “Combine Harvester” for instance is nearly 40 years old. “The Dutchman” is a blast from the past and “But you love me Daddy” features Brendan’s darling grandson James, the “Curry Song” was one of Brendan’s most requested pieces ever. All in all it’s a mixed bag that will surprise, but most of all amuse you!
