Jimmy Buckley brings his unmistakable country style to the Hank Williams classic “Settin’ the Woods on Fire,” released through Sharpe Music on 15 April 2026.
The track was originally written by Fred Rose and Ed G. Nelson and recorded and released in 1952 as the A-side of a single backed with “You Win Again.” It became one of Williams’ biggest hits, reaching No. 2 on the U.S. country charts.
Over the years, the song has been recorded some of countrys biggest names including George Jones and Porter Wagoner.
Inspired by the music he grew up listening to, Jimmy’s version pays tribute to the golden era of country music while embracing the vibrant sound of modern Irish Country. Produced by Johnathon Owens at Spout Studios, the track delivers a fresh, energetic take on the classic. Accompanied by a brand-new jive dance created especially for the release, “Settin’ the Woods on Fire” is set to keep dancefloors packed throughout the summer.
